Swedish: a system of long strokes, kneading, and friction techniques on superficial layers of the muscles, combines with active and passive movements to the joints.
Deep Tissue: releases the chronic patters of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contacted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It is called deep tissue because it also focuses on the deeper layer of muscle tissues.
Myofascial Release: is a form of bodywork that rebalances the body by releasing tension in fascia. Long, stretching strokes are utilized to release muscular tension.
Trigger Point Therapy: applies concentrated finger pressure to "trigger points".
Pregnancy Massage: massage during pregnancy helps to nurture and support the mother through a time of major changes in her body and mind. Benefits of massage during pregnancy are: relief of discomfort without drugs, improves circulation, alleviates minor complaints (backache, fatigue, insomnia), reduces postural imbalance, and relieves swelling.
